Trusted keys#

Trusted keys are PGP public keys that are added to EclecticIQ Intelligence Center. Incoming feeds can be configured to validate packages it downloads with the public keys added here.

Tip

Incoming feeds will use this public key to validate packages if you select Require valid signature in the feed’s configuration.

Add public key#

To add one or more PGP public keys to the list of Trusted keys:

  1. From the left navigation, go to Settings Settings > System settings > Trusted Keys.

  2. Select Edit settings.

  3. In Edit public trusted key settings:

    • Selecct + ADD to add a new PGP public key to the list.

    • Select + MORE to add more than one PGP public key to the list.

  4. Fill out the following fields for each PGP public key you want to add:

    Required fields are marked with an asterisk (*).

    Field

    Description

    A descriptive label for this PGP key.

    Key

    Enter the exported ASCII output for the PGP public key here. This is usually the contents of an .asc file provided by the data source.

    An example of an exported PGP public key:

  5. Select Save to finish adding your PGP public keys.

Reset settings#

Danger

This action is irreversible.

You can remove all trusted public keys from EclecticIQ Intelligence Center with Reset settings.

To remove all trusted public keys from EclecticIQ Intelligence Center:

  1. From the left navigation, go to Settings Settings > System settings > Trusted Keys.

  2. Select Edit settings.

  3. Select RESET SETTINGS.

    Danger

    This will permanently remove all trusted public keys from EclecticIQ Intelligence Center.
