Recover two-factor authentication
If you lose access to your authentication app, use the recovery codes you generated and stored when you set up two-factor authentication to recover access, and to complete sign-in.
If you cannot access the device you use to verify your second authentication factor, or if you accidentally removed the Intelligence Center account from the authentication app, you will not be able to successfully sign in to the Intelligence Center with two-factor authentication.
When you set up two-factor authentication for your user account, you were prompted to store 10 recovery codes.
You need them now.
Recover access to the second factor
If you cannot access the device you use to verify your second authentication factor after verifying your user name and password:
In the Two factor authentication dialog click Enter recovery code.
Retrieve the file or the paper with the recovery codes.
In the Two-factor authentication with recovery code dialog enter one of the ten recovery codes you saved.
Click Use recovery code.
If the recovery code is valid, you will be signed in.
After signing in:
Disable and remove the current two-factor authentication from your user profile.
Set up a new two-factor authentication in your user profile.
If you do not have a copy of the recovery codes, contact the Intelligence Center administrator for assistance.
