Create custom Entity types that represent types of intelligence not captured in our predefined Entity types.

Requires Custom attribute

Because you are required to assign at least one custom attribute to each custom Entity, this document lays out how to create custom attributes first.

Create Custom attributes#

  1. From the left sidebar, select Data configuration icon Data configuration > Custom Objects > Custom attributes.

  2. In the top right corner, select + Create attribute.

  3. Enter a Name.

  4. Select a Data type for this attribute.

  5. Select Save.

Create custom Entity type#

  1. From the left sidebar, select Data configuration icon Data configuration > Custom Objects > Custom attributes.

  2. In the top right corner, select + Create custom Entity.

  3. Enter a Name.

  4. (Optional) Enter a Description.

  5. Select + Attribute to add custom attributes to this custom Entity.

  6. (Optional) For each custom attribute:

    • select or enter a default value.

  7. Select Save.

Use Custom Entity type#

Once you’ve created your custom Entity type, you can choose it as the type for any new Entity you create.
In places where you can create new Entities, such as from the left sidebar > Create > Production > + Create Entity, you will see the Custom Entity option, hovering over which shows you a list of all the custom Entity types that have been created.
Select one and proceed with Entity creation as normal.
