Datasets | Add Entities to Collection datasets

You can add new Entities to existing Collection datasets:

• One by one.

• In bulk.

Add a single Entity

To add an Entity.

1. From the left sidebar, go to Search > GO TO SEARCH AND BROWSE > Entities.

2. Once in the active view, locate the Entity you want to add to a dataset.

3. Click next to the Entity you want to add to a dataset.

4. From the drop-down menu, select Add to dataset.

5. In the Add Entity to a dataset dialog, click the Dataset drop-down to select an existing dataset to add the Entity to.

6. To add the Entity to a new dataset, which you can create on the fly, select Create new dataset.

   • In this case, the New dataset name input field is displayed: enter a name for the new dataset.

   • Optionally, you can assign the Entity to a workspace by clicking the Workspace drop-down, and then by selecting an existing destination workspace or by creating a new one on the fly.

7. Click Add to dataset to add the Entity to the selected dataset and to close the dialog.

You can also add a currently open Entity to a dataset by selecting More > Add to dataset.

You can add to datasets only published Entities. You cannot add draft Entities to a dataset.

Add multiple Entities

To add multiple Entities:

1. In the active view, select the checkboxes corresponding to the Entities you want to add in bulk to a dataset.

2. In the top-right of the table view, click Add to menu.

3. From the drop-down menu, select Dataset.

You can add to datasets only published Entities. You cannot add draft Entities to a dataset.

1. In the Add Entities to a dataset dialog, click the Dataset drop-down to select an existing dataset to add the Entities to.

2. To add the Entities to a new dataset, which you can create on the fly, select Create new dataset.

3. In this case, the New dataset name input field is displayed: enter a name for the new dataset.
   Optionally, you can assign the Entities to a workspace by clicking the Workspace drop-down, and then by selecting an existing destination workspace or by creating a new one on the fly.

4. Click Add to dataset to add the Entities to the selected dataset and to close the dialog.
