Configure outgoing feeds general options
Configure the general options for outgoing feeds to publish content from EclecticIQ Platform.
These configuration options are common to all supported outgoing feeds.
Required fields are marked with an asterisk (*).
In the left navigation bar, go to Data configuration > Outgoing feeds.
The outgoing feeds view lists all configured outgoing feeds to publish and distribute selected intelligence from the platform to external parties, services, and systems.
In the top-left corner of the view, click + to open the Outgoing feeds editor.
In the Create outgoing feed form you can populate the input fields to define the intelligence provider/data source for the feed, and the feed behavior:
Feed name: enter a name to identify and to describe the feed you are creating.
Sign content with private key: select this checkbox to automatically sign the content of the outgoing feed with a PGP private key.
If you have not yet set a PGP private key in the platform, click Click here for the Private Key settings > System settings > Private key, where you can set it before continuing with the feed configuration.
If you select the Click here for the Private Key settings checkbox, a PGP private key needs to be set in the platform.
Otherwise, you cannot save the current outgoing feed configuration.
To set a PGP private key to sign outgoing feed content with :
In the left navigation bar, click Settings ( ) > System settings > Private key.
Click Edit settings to display the Edit private key settings view.
In the Private key input field copy-paste the PGP private key you want to add to sign outgoing feed data packages with.
In the pasted content include also:
The leading line: -----BEGIN PGP PRIVATE KEY BLOCK-----
The trailing line: -----END PGP PRIVATE KEY BLOCK-----
The platform validates the pasted PGP private key content, and it returns an error if it does not contain valid data.
Click Save to store your changes, or Cancel to discard them.
To change PGP private key, first remove the currently registered one:
In the Edit private key settings view, browse to Reset private key settings > Reset settings.
In the confirmation dialog, click Reset to confirm the action.
Transport and content
To configure transport type and content type, as well as any other specific options for a particular outgoing feed, see the documentation for that specific feed.
Save the configuration
After setting up the feed, save the configuration:
To store your changes, click Save; to discard them, click Cancel.
To access additional save options, click the down arrow on the Save button:
Save and run: saves the current configuration for the feed, and it executes is right away.
The feed task to ingest (incoming feeds) or to disseminate (outgoing feeds) intelligence executes and runs immediately after successfully saving the feed configuration.
Save and new: saves the current configuration for the feed, and it opens a new empty form to start configuring a new feed.
Save and duplicate: saves the current configuration for the feed, and it opens a new prepopulated copy of the same feed configuration, which you can use as a blueprint/template to speed up manual work.
