Outgoing feed - Confluence PDF#

This article describes how to configure incoming feeds for a particular feed source. To see how to configure incoming feeds in general, see Create and configure incoming feeds.

This feed allows you to export Report entities as PDFs with your company branding, i.e. text colors and page headers, to Confluence.

Requirements#

  • API URL, API key, and a Username for connecting to your Confluence environment.

Configure the Outgoing feed#

TLP v1 only

This Outgoing feed supports TLP v1 only. Any TLP v2 values assigned to intelligence objects included in the feed will be converted to v1 values (i.e., CLEAR becomes WHITE and AMBER+STRICT becomes RED).

  1. Create or edit an Outgoing feed.

  2. From the Transport type drop-down menu, select Confluence Outgoing Feed.

  3. From the Content type drop-down menu, select Confluence Brand PDF.

  4. Select the Dataset you’d like to create PDFs from.

    It’s advised to create a separate Dataset for this purpose.

  5. Select an Update strategy for this feed.

  6. Under Transport configuration:

    • enter the API URL, Username and API key for accessing your Confluence environment.

    • check or uncheck the SSL verification box and, if you check it, supply a Path to SSL certificate file.

    • enter the Space Key for the Confluence space you want to export to.

    • under Parent Page ID, enter the ID of the Confluence page to which you want to export the PDFs.

  7. Under Content configuration, customize the PDF reports that will be created:

    • Use the checkboxes to include additional information.
      When including tags, whitespaces and commas will be replaced with hyphens (“-”).

    • Enter paths (relative to root of primary application node ic-application-01) to header images for the front page and all other pages.

    • Select colors for the different text types that will appear in the report.

    • Enter the root URL if it is different from the Hostname provided in general settings and you want to include links to the platform in the report.

  8. Set a Schedule for the Outgoing feed to operate on.

  9. (Optional) Set any required advanced options (under Show advanced options).

  10. To store your changes, select Save.

    If you want the Outgoing feed to run right away, select the dropdown arrow next to Save and then select Save and run.

Once you’ve run the Outgoing feed, you can find the report PDFs created from the Report entities in the selected Dataset(s) on the Created packages tab.
